Arkansas has consistently produced, and is still producing, some of the world's finest Wavellites. That said, nothing has matched the great finds of the 1970s, which produced exceptionally large spheres of Wavellite. This is from those finds, and features Wavellite spheres up to a full 2.5 cm across. When exposed (essentially , broken open along the internal cleavages so the crystal ball is opened up), as these are, the fantastic radial growth of the Wavellite is almost bewitching. The are almost the mineral version of the fruit, Kiwi. Specimens from these finds are seldom on the market anymore, and are sought after.
