Item Description
Some of the largest and most displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This piece features several, fine, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates of Wavellite which range in color from a light to deeper yellow color. The spheres measure up to 1.1 cm and are associated with Quartz crystals on matrix. This is one of the better quality specimens of this material that I've offered in the auctions in recent months. This specimen was collected in September of 2008, and would make a great addition to a phosphate suite or a suite of specimens from the Siglo XX mine.
