Wavellite

A fine example of the olive-green wavellite varietal, that we have offered at auction from the recent 2010 find. The waxy luster, bladed botryoids are richly clustered and strikingly isolated on the novaculite matrix, which is covered with a light druse of sparkly, pastel-green wavellite. Seldom were discrete botryoids recovered from this find and this is an excellent example. The couple of broken botryoids reveal the chatoyancy and nifty radial growth of the botryoids. This is an excellent example of this recent find, which has a striking variety of colors and sizes of the wavellite balls.
