Item Description

This is one of the finest examples of the pistachio-green wavellite varietal, that we have offered at auction from the recent 2010 find. The waxy luster botryoids, to 8 mm, are richly and strikingly isolated on the drusy, pastel-green, wavellite-covered novaculite matrix. The high luster of the wavellite blades on the botryoids is evident on the few botryoids that only have a partial secondary wavellite overgrowth. Very seldom were discrete botryoids recovered from this find and this is very fine example.
