Item Description

Some of the largest and most displayable specimens of Wavellite have come from the Siglo XX mine in Bolivia as described by Mark Bandy. This piece features fine, rather lustrous, cream color, translucent, sphere-shaped radiating aggregates measuring up to 8 mm associated with Pyrite and Quartz. A good quality Wavellite specimen from this famous locality. This specimen was collected in September of 2008, and would make a nice addition to a phosphate suite or a suite of specimens from the Siglo XX mine.
