A classic, showy and sculptural small cabinet specimen of these beautiful Wavellites from Mauldin Mountain. While Wavellite is reported from nay world localities, arguably the finest and most colorful examples in the world are those from various localities Arkansas. This piece features fine quality, soft blue-green colored "balls" of Wavellite measuring up to 1.1 cm across sitting on three-dimensional matrix. My favorite aspect of the piece is that a good number of the spheres are complete and not contacted, which is honestly not that common for this material. You'll see a lot of incomplete and just plain broken spheres of Wavellite from the various localities in Arkansas, so when you find an attractive piece like this with full complete spheres, it means something. From the collection of Colorado mining legend, Dave Bergman. Dave is now retired, but among other things, he was the foreman and primary person in charge of recovering specimens at the famous Sweet Home Mine near Alma, Colorado during the late 1970s.
