Item Description

An aesthetic cluster of gemmy and lustrous, watermelon tourmaline crystals from recent finds at the famous Pederneira Mine. The large, vibrant, cranberry-red/pink cores are sheathed in and capped by beautiful, teal-blue tourmaline. The major crystal has a broken, rehealed. lightly frosted, termination atop - irregular but not broken. Pink lepidolite crystals are peppered on the larger sidecar crystal, which is doubly terminated (the lower termination was broken and 'rehealed'). The small sidecar has a lightly etched, olive-green, pinacoidal termination. Complete all-around and pristine. A classic, representative watermelon tourmaline from this noted locale, circa 1998-2000 finds. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base, valued at $125, for free. Valued at $1250-1500.
