A striking, beautiful, gemmy and lustrous pair of parallel-growth elbaite crystals from the famed Barra de Salinas pegmatites and the Steve Smale Collection. The fantastic deeply notched pyramidal termination and color variations really adds pizzazz to this cutie. The olive-green termination area, with the lustrous matte faces is followed by the gorgeous, gem grass-green section. The basal, variable watermelon pink core is sheathed in a thin green rind. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A contact, with no damage, per se, is noted on a prism face just below the termination. Classic, outstanding older material. 9 grams mass.
