Item Description
A very sculptural and aesthetic, two crystal, tourmaline specimen from recent finds at the famous Pederniera Mine. The bodies of the gemmy and lustrous crystals are a beautiful, variable, teal-blue and green. The two, UNRETOUCHED backlit shots highlight the cranberry-red core of the lower part of the main crystal. The lustrous termination of the upright crystal is broken, but healed, and has a really nifty tourmaline "bill" projecting off of one edge. The backside of the upright crystal is contacted, but has no damage, per se and is highlighted by a thin sheet of cleavelandite and two, small clusters of pink lepidolite! The termination on the secondary crystal is broken. This is a facinating, complete all-around, watermelon Pederneira tourmaline.
