An EXCELLENT, 1960s era, watermelon tourmaline from the famous Santa Rosa Mine of Brazil. The gemmy and lustrous, green body has a cranberry-red core in the lower half of the crystal. Below the lustrous termination the crystal is teal-blue to blue to black. The contact on the backside reveals the cranberry-red core. CLASSIC, OLD-TIME material from this renowned locale. The backlit photos highlight the gemminess and beautiful color saturations. 100 grams.
