Item Description

Wardite is a relatively rare phosphate, and some of the most beautiful (and well known) crystals of the material are found in the Yukon Territory. This area is only accessible for a few months per year and is rather treacherous terrain for collecting specimens. This piece is filled with very attractive, sharp, lustrous, tetragonal crystals of greenish-yellow Wardite on matrix. The largest Wardite measures 8 mm across. Additionally there are some small inky blue Lauzlites plus lustrous, brown crystals of the rare manganese, iron phosphate kryzhanovskite. There are a few other micros present, so you rarities collectors, check this one out!
