Item Description

Wardite is a rare hydrated phosphate. Striking, sharp, gemmy, translucent, pastachio-green, tetragonal crystals to 1.4 cm are richly scattered on the large matrix covered with brown siderite crystals. This is a rich, unusually large and excellent example of the species and locale, with larger crystals than one normally sees on a matrix piece as well. Ex Fred Parker Collection. Valued at $1000-1250. Such pieces are generally from older finds, not recent.
