Wardite

Item Description

A very fine specimen of lustrous and translucent, grey to white Wardite crystals sitting nicely on matrix from the famous Rapid Creek area of Canada. This is a very good specimen of this uncommon phosphate species, as the octahedral crystals are sharp and striated, and simply LARGE. The tips are even gemmy. The main crystal, 1.7 cm across, sits up wonderfully from the matrix, and its octahedral habit is complex. The excellent form and architecture add greatly to the aesthetic appeal of this choice miniature.
