Item Description
Wardite is a relatively rare phosphate, and some of the most beautiful (and well known) crystals of the material are found in the Yukon Territory. This area is only accessible for a few months per year and is rather treacherous terrain for collecting specimens. This piece is filled with very attractive, sharp, lustrous, tetragonal crystals of greenish Wardite with minor blue Lazulite on matrix. The largest Wardite measures 0.9 cm across I have not seen many of these specimens on the market in the last few years, so don't pass this one up. It's a very rich coverage of crystals, the only thing holding it back is the fact that the Wardite have an unusual partial coating of an unknown mineral.
