Wakabayashilite

Item Description

A very rare large specimen with several fanshaped clusters of fibrous, bright orange Wakabayashilite on a cabinet specimen of contrasting massive matrix. With such huge, rich coverage, this is a major specimen for the species. While not the type locality, this is the most well-known locality for fine, large crystals in recent years (although it is still quite rare). For its beauty, this is one of my more favorite rarities, and I do try to acquire any I see. Based on past samples sold and seen, valued $750-900. good examples in this quality are very rare - and some are just mislabelled orpiment, so be careful!
