Item Description

Wairakite is a rare Zeolite Group species discovered in 1955 and is related to analcime. Specimens are very uncommon from this small gold and silver mine, operated from 1925 to 1965. Sharp snow-white crystals richly cover the vuggy matrix on the volcanic matrix. Rare, rich and uncommon zeolite material from this obscure locale. Ex Eugene Carmichael Collection.
