Item Description

Vonsenite is a rare high-temperature iron borate occurring in contact metamorphic deposits. This thin plate is a solid mass of sparkly, flat vonsenite lathes. Not pretty to look at, but this is a rich, highly representative example of the species from a well-known Spanish locale. Older material from the Dennis Mullane Collection.
