Item Description
A complex combination piece of four sulfates from the Dexter No. 7 Mine in Utah. The crystals of Coquimbite are lavendar, gemmy, and lustrous. The Voltaite is deep green (almost black), and the Halotrichite is white. One of the most prominant minerals on the specimen are the yellow-green botryoidal coatings, and this might be Ferricopiapite, Romerite, or Goldichite. Each can take that form and appearance, and without analyses, it is a best guess. A choice, complex, combination piece, with the added bonus of bright green fluorescence. Ex. Bill Smith collection.
