Vivianite with Pyrite (classic find)

Item Description

A striking large specimen of lustrous, beautiful, bluish-green, prismatic, vivianite crystals attractively set on a large, elongated, sculptural matrix of sparkling, iridescent, brassy, pyrite microcrystals on shale on this classic and excellent specimen from the late 1980s - early 1990s finds at the famous Morococala Mine of Bolivia. The beautiful indigo-blue and emerald-green is visible on the edges of the backlit partially translucent crystals. Some faces have a beautiful shimmering effect from the scale-like faces. The large crystal with the cleaved face is 10.5 cm.
