Item Description
This mine has produced what are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen. This miniature size piece features excellent quality, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystals of Vivianite forming a "fan"-shaped group on metamorphosed Sandstone. The largest Vivianite crystal measures 2.3 cm. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. This piece is in very good shape and is one of the better specimen I've offered in the auctions in this size range. When considering the best specimens found from this mine, rarely does one see specimens of this quality, color and luster not only from Bolivia, but virtually any world locality. Please note that the sandstone on this specimen is a little fragile, so the piece must be handled carefully. Valued in the inventory at $750.
