Vivianite on Sandstone (rare large specimen!)

Emplaced nicely on a brown sandstone are lustrous and translucent, rich green colored crystals, to 10 cm in length, of vivianite. Some of the crystals are doubly terminated. This is from a single major find worked in Bolivia in the mid-2000s. It is actually one of the larger pieces I have seen and would have been valued at and sold for several thousand dollars at the time. The electric flasshes of the green, surface hue; and the unusual matrix, are totally indicative of this find. The cluster is large, dramatic, and in good condition - seldom seen!
