Vivianite on Ludlamite (Panczner Coll.)

Vivianite and Ludlamite in superb, isolated textbook-shaped crystals came out of this remote location in the 1960s, and a few other times we all. This would date from the classic finds here, of the 60s, and is unique and competition-worthy not only for the location; but also for the aesthetics of balance of the two species here. I have seen a number of thumbnail ludlamites, or thumbnail vivianites, from here and elsewhere - but where have you seen a fine specimen with both together in such display quality, as a thumbnail in particular? This is an old location as according to Wikipedia: Mining for gold started in 1893 and the cobalt content was recognized in 1901. The mine produced copper and cobalt between 1902 and 1968. So the specimens were found and recovered right at the end of the mine's economic lifetime - what luck! An important, unique combination thumbnail worthy of any modern competition case, even 40 years or so after it was first shown in competition.
