Item Description
A dramatic, expressive and rare larger two-sided specimen from the Kerch Peninsula. One side of the large fossilized mollusc is dominated by the striking 3.6 cm spray of vivianite blades along with other blades filling the large cavity. The other side of mollusc host more vivianite blades both in and on the mollusc shell. The lustrous, variably-sized vivianite blades have some gemmy sections and colors range from neon-blue to neon-green. The unusual matrix is nodular ironstone. This locality is now extinct and rich large matrix specimens of this quality are very hard to obtain. Valued at $800-1000.
