Vivianite (ex Brian Kosnar Collection)

Item Description

Vivianite can be a tough species to photograph. We tried our best to get the great rich green color and true gemminess of this specimen to come through in the photographs, but the piece still looks better in person in my opinion. This piece was acquired personally by Brian Kosnar in Bolivia in the Fall of 2000 directly at the mine at Huanuni. This was one of very few gem Vivianites that he was able to obtain. It is a gemmy, sharp, HIGHLY lustrous specimen with a small amount of attached matrix. The mine at Huanuni has produced some of the finest Vivianite specimens in the world.
