Item Description
Here is a great old locality specimen of Vivianite from Bolivia. Subscribers to the Mineralogical Record know that an entire issue was dedicated to this unique and historic locality. This small cabinet size piece features a beautiful, relatively sharp, stout/thick, gemmy, emerald green color, prismatic crystal of Vivianite cm sitting atop Limonite after Pyrite with minor Paravauxite. This material is rarely seen in today's market and this particular specimen is at least 25 years old. The piece does have a bit of oxidation on the side, but is still really attractive and it DOES pass light when backlit, which is not terribly common for Vivianites from Siglo XX. A great aesthetic display specimen from this world famous locality.
