Item Description

Vivianite from this urban locale is very seldom on the market. Tightly intergrown sprays of lustrous, dark purple vivianite lathes form a very aesthetic rosette or corsage with a flair at the top. Old-time material from the Alfred Stevenson Collection from the phosphate rich deposits here. These spirals are thought to be fossil-nucleated, and this is probably a vivianite pseudo after a fossil vertebrae.
