Item Description

Tomokoni has produced what are inarguably some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens from any Bolivian mine as they are some of the sharpest and most LUSTROUS examples ever seen. This small cabinet size piece features a 2.1 cm long, sharp, lustrous, dark emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystal of Vivianite sitting atop a matrix of metamorphosed Sandstone. It's important to note that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. The main crystal on this piece is in great shape compared to the vast majority of what was found. I have to stress how sharp and lustrous (and often gemmy) the crystals from Tomokoni are, as there are lots of localities for Vivianite in the world, but not many with crystals of this quality.
