Item Description

This is a classic gemmy Vivianite specimen from the Tomokoni Mine (adit) which is part of the Canutillos complex in Bolivia. These pieces were found in the early 2000s, and are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen from any Bolivian locality. This is a wonderful miniature size piece featuring a fairly thick, good quality, lustrous, gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystal of Vivianite with minor metamorphosed Sandstone. These are some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality, hands down as they are sharp, well-formed, gemmy and lustrous, and a tier better than most other Vivianites out there. It's important to note that a lot of Bolivian Vivianites can be somewhat rounded and dull, and I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before from any other Bolivian locale. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. This piece is in great condition
