Item Description

Here we have a beautiful gemmy Vivianite specimen from the Tomokoni Mine (adit) which is part of the Canutillos complex. Starting in the early 2000s, this locality produced what are clearly some of the finest quality Vivianite specimens ever seen. This is a wonderful miniature size piece featuring an absolutely beautiful, good quality, lustrous, GEM/gemmy, emerald green, sword shaped "textbook" crystal of Vivianite with minor metamorphosed Sandstone. These are some of the best quality Vivianite crystals you will see from any locality, hands down. Keep in mind that over 75% of the specimens from this find have had SERIOUS damage problems. This piece is in great condition, with only a small bit of impacted Sandstone on the terminations. It's important to note that a lot of Bolivian Vivianites can be somewhat rounded and dull, and I have never seen specimens of this quality, color, luster and gemminess before from any other Bolivian locale.
