Item Description
A now classic specimen of Villiaumite from the Aris Quarries in Namibia featuring a vug full of sharp, lustrous, gemmy/translucent, rich carmine red colored cubic crystals measuring to about 5 mm, sitting on phonolite (nepheline syenite extrusive) matrix. This piece is from a discovery in the early 2000s which produced some of the richest colored Villiaumite crystals from these quarries. Keep in mind that many of Villiaumite crystals from the Aris Quarries are rather small, so to find a piece with euhedral (not cleaved or massive) eye-visible crystals like this is noteworthy.
