Veszelyite (rare) on Hemimorphite

A fine and desirable specimen of this limited, high quality and beautiful material from the Palabanda Quarries in Republic of the Congo (Brazzaville). In 2020, a small amount of excellent specimens of Veszelyite started showing up on the market from this locality. The Veszelyites are almost always seen growing on blue Hemimorphite, as is the case with this piece. This piece features a good sized crystal group of intense blue colored Veszelyite with sharp, lustrous well-formed faces measuring 6 mm across sitting atop light sky blue colored, bubbly Hemimorphite on matrix. You can clearly see the Veszelyite with the naked eye, and they look beautiful up close as well. A very attractive and fine quality example of these fantastic, recent specimens. Veszelyite used to be a notably rare species, but recently discoveries both here and in China have made it much more accessible for collectors.
