Item Description
Veszelyite is a rare copper, zinc phosphate species. They reached their worldwide zenith at the famous and closed Black Pine Mine in Montana back in the 1950s and 60s. That being said, this is a rare and showy combination miniature from this famed locale. Gemmy and lustrous, discrete to clustered, uniquely blue-green crystals to 3 mm are scattered on the aesthetic matrix plate of sharp, iron oxide-coated quartz crystals accented with powder-blue chrysocolla. There are a few more partially hidden veszelyites visible only from the back side of the piece. EXTREMELY RARE in this combination.
