Item Description

This is a rare locality specimen from the Montréal Chrome Pit in Québec, Canada featuring pinkish-purple massive chromium-bearing Vesuvianite associated with small, prismatic, gemmy, green crystals of Diopside plus a few hexagonal, gemmy, bladed, greenish-grey crystals of Clinochlore (erroneously labeled as Brucite) plus a couple white Calcite crystals on matrix. The crystals are all best seen under magnification, but this is hard to find material, and certainly a cool piece to add to your collection if you're a fan of Canadian minerals. From the collection of Gerry Morvell.
