Item Description
This small cabinet specimen from South Tyrol is composed solid, intergrown crystals of brown Vesuvianite, up to 1.2 cm, with one Calcite-lined pocket. Within this pocket are highly modified Vesuvianites up to 8 mm. They have good luster and unusual form, along with an attractive, light clove-brown color. Previously in the collections of the Freiberg Mineral Museum and John H. Caswell by the early 1900s. ex George Elling Collection.
