Vesuvianite specimens of this size and quality are uncommon from this well-known Italian locale. The impressive, large, pristine, 360-degree crystal is lustrous, sharply terminated and the partially translucent faces are mottled light and dark olive-green. The myriad of small yellow-green grossular garnet crystals festooned on the sides of the crystal are a fine accent. Very choice and excellent combination material from the Bob Trimingham Collection.
