Item Description
Vesuvianite from Canada's Jeffrey Asbestos Quarry generally sets the world standard for the species, with big robust crystals. This one is a complete floater, terminated all around! It has wonderful luster, and a mix of colors due to green (chromian) and lavender (manganoan) impurities that give these crystals such unique color palettes. Rarely do you see them mix together, though. This is a sharp, beautiful crystal that would date to the 1980s era here, almost certainly (possibly early 1990s). Valued $750-1000.
