Item Description

This specimen is a rare mix of the two varieties of vesuvianite from Jeffrey, now sadly defunct as a locality. The purple or manganoan rich variety is dominant, but contrasted and perched on green vesuvianite, the more classic sort. This rich nodule is almost complete all around. It is EXTREMELY SPARKLING, as if it were made of sugar, and as such, while the crystals may not be large, is certainly among the prettier specimens of the material in this style. Rare today, and only less common in the future - this was a unique occuuurence we will miss!
