Impressive, large 6.1 cm, terminated vesuvianite crystal is jauntily perched on the coarsely crystallized vesuvianite matrix. The lustrous, partially translucent, variegated brown crystal has beautiful sections of rich orange-brown color under bright light, that really enhance the piece. A truly important, rare, and uncommon example from the remote locality. This is from the extensive California suite of the Bob Reynolds collection.
