Item Description

Sharp, tetragonal, idocrase (vesuvianite) crystals are uncommon from this well-known Mexican locale and are RARE in such fine combination with grossular garnet, as this super piece is. Seven, sharp, slightly translucent, honey-yellow vesuvianites are aesthetically set on the faces of a sharp, light and dark brown sugar-brown grossular garnet crystal. This classic dodecahedron has intense glassy luster and is moderately translucent. AND, it is a pristine FLOATER! Older material from the 1960s or 70s. Ex Dave Stoudt Mexico Collection # 993.
