Item Description

It is quite rare to find Vesuvianite in combination with Grossular Garnets from this well-known location. The single 1.4 cm Vesuvianite is a modified cube with beveled edges. The luster is very good, etched in part, and the color is a pleasing honey-brown. The Grossulars are modified dodecahedrons, in some cases elongated along one of the axes. The Garnets are a medium-grey in color and have excellent luster. There is a little bit of etching, but it really has no effect on the attractiveness of the Grossulars. Probably material that dates fromfrom the 1960s or 70s. A rare, important, and attractive miniature for what it is.
