Item Description
An unusual piece from the famous (and now defunct) Jeffrey Mine featuring very pale green and purplish (manganese-bearing) Vesuvianite macro crystals which are partially overgrowing a striated, gemmy colorless crystal group of an unknown species. We showed the piece around and nobody is certain as to the identity of this colorless mineral. It really doesn't look like Pectolite or Prehnite, though it could be Wollastonite. Nonetheless, it's an odd association piece that would make a great addition to any Jeffrey suite.
