Item Description

Vesuvianite is a rare species from this remote and now famous mine, but here is a showy and excellent specimen from a New Find. Splendent, sharp, black to olive-green, prisms to 1.7 cm are richly clustered on all sides of the solid vesuvianite matrix. Scattered contacting and broken crystals are noted, but this remains a highly representative example of this uncommon species from this noted locale. The radial spray is a real highlight to this nifty piece.
