Vesuvianite (ex Matioli Collection)

Item Description

A rather large and hefty, sharp, tetragonal Vesuvianite crystal with good luster and slight translucent edges shows flahses of golden-yellow and honey-brown gemminess from finds at an uncommon Chinese locale in Hebei Province. Larger than most I have seen, and very highly representative material from this find. This would be an excellent, large vesuvianite from any world-wide locality, and despite a bit of roughness, you can't deny the fact that it's just so darn big! Ex Paolo Matioli Collection.
