Item Description
Sharp, lustrous and blocky, olive-green vesuvianite crystals are nicely set in matrix on this showy specimen from a classic Norwegian locality. This is a very old specimen, with provenance dating back to Dr. F. Krantz with a label from the late 1800s/early 1900s. Collecting here is no longer allowed and these are seldom seen on the market, only out of old collections. The quality of this piece is highly representative for the species and locality! From the collections of Dr. F. Krantz, Michael Kraus, Gawan Fiore, and Alex Venzke.
