Item Description

Glassy, translucent to transparent, olive-green vesuvianite prisms are aesthetically clustered atop the small cabinet matrix on this showy and excellent specimen from the famous Bellecombe area of Italy. The striking pair of large crystals are 1.5 cm long. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11883. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017). Classic Aosta Valley vesuvianites.
