Vesuvianite

Item Description

The classic old locality of Bellecombe has produced wonderful Vesuvianite crystals over the years. These green crystals are gemmy and have superb luster. The main crystal is about 1 cm tall, and the aesthetics are excellent. These classics from the Italian Piedmont have tended to stay in Italy with the collectors, and we seldom see (at least in the US) anything really good. Unique compared to other locales, these are immediately recognizable. The aesthetics are superb. Formerly in the collection of Bill and Carol Smith.
