Item Description

This is a large, very rich cluster of bright, gemmy Vesuvianite crystals with GLASSY luster, from the famous Jeffrey Mine. The largest of these little gems reaches about 8 mm in size. These crystals have a really nice balance of the classic purple and green colors, not only across the specimen but within many of the crystals themselves. The Jeffrey Mine is now closed - meaning no more world-class specimens are being produced from there. I have seen specimens of this style and size selling for several thousand dollars recently, in the USA. The mine is closed, and people are looking to hoard them, I would think.
