Item Description

These are some of the more attractive and unusual vesuvianite crystals to come out of any "Alpine cleft" locality. The sharp, lustrous, gemmy, "root beer" colored prisms have strange and pretty white-cap terminations. The amazing form of the intergrown crystals resembles columnar jointing of basalt! There is a dusting of green clinochlore crystals on the left side. A very fine thumbnail example of the species and locale.
