Certainly an exotic and rare style of twinned calcite from the famous Joplin Field. The striking, sculptural, water-clear twin is cleaved on all sides. Rare, old-time material from this historic locale. Famous Tri-State dealer Boodle Lane shipped 2 tons of specimens of specimens to Fred Cassirer in Paris in 1937! See the excellent current Tri-State District Special Issue of the Mineralogical Record. The Cassirer label dates from 1941-1979, when he passed away. The John Albanese label dates from from 1953-68.
