Item Description
Graves Mountain is famous for world-class rutile specimens, but has also produced outstanding lazulite pieces. An exceptionally large and sharp, 3.6 cm crystal is adorably set in matrix on this very aesthetic miniature. Sharp crystals rarely reach over 2.0 cm. The variably cornflower-blue crystal is sharply dipyramidal and is strongly twinned giving striking form. It looks doublyterminated, but technically it is a dipyramid and just "fully"terminated. A superb and very large crystal matrix example of the species and locale from the Dr. Ed David Collection. Ed was Science Advisor to President Nixon and assembled several world-class collections. Comes with a custom-made baked clay base. Valued at $750.
